Like I said on the “extra lessons” page of this website, school is tough! I’m sure the gr. 1′s of today are getting the amount of homework we only used to get in gr.3?
Sure, there are aftercare facilities all over the place who do homework with school children, but something I’ve noticed about most aftercare teachers….. is that they’re not really teachers. Not qualified ones, anyway. On top of it, most aftercares are actually nursery schools, so their focus and training is generally on the 0-6year old age-group. Add to that the fact that there are large groups of children doing the same homework at the same time, and you see why Star Gazers is offering homework supervision for individual children or groups up to 4 children at a time.
It’s a known fact that children learn better when they are taught one-on-one or in small groups. Its also a known fact that by spending time working alone or in small groups, teachers and learners get to understand each other’s methods and thinking a lot easier and quicker, helping them to get the most out of the learning experience..

Star Gazers only employs qualified teachers for extra lessons and homework supervision, so by sending your child to the centre for a short time each afternoon, or a few afternoons a week, you will be giving your child a unique advantage most other children do not get.
You know that you would rather have an individual service than a mass-production lined one. Do the same for your little genius.
Homework supervision is also offered to Deaf learners!!!
Give me a call or email today to set up times and to enquire about fees, and we can give your budding Einstein an early start!
We currently have two homework supervision teachers. Ina, is a qualified special needs teacher, who also teaches at Francis Voorweg school, and Sharon is a member of the Deaf community, who has had years of experience working with children with different ability levels, hearing and Deaf.
